Cannabinoids are the chemicals in cannabis that produce a wide range of medical and recreational effects.

Cannabidiol (a.k.a. CBD)

CBD is a nonpsychoactive cannabinoid often utilized for its therapeutic effects. Patients commonly report CBD helps combat seizures, pain, inflammation, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, opioid withdrawal and other conditions.

Concentrates are potent cannabis extracts resulting from a process of stripping out plant material and isolating desirable compounds.

Dabbing refers to an effective method for consuming cannabis concentrates that involves vaporizing extracts on a hot surface (“nail”) and inhaling the vapours through a specialized pipe (“oil rig”).

Edibles are cannabis-infused foods and beverages that are absorbed into the body through the gastrointestinal tract.

Flower refers to the green, leafy, cannabinoid-rich part of the cannabis plant that is consumed for its therapeutic and recreational effects. Long known as buds, we now prefer to call these as their proper name of flowers.

Glass refers to glass pipes, bongs, bowls, chillums and other devices used for combusting cannabis material and inhaling the smoke.

Grinders are used to break up cannabis flower into small bits to allow smoother, more even combustion and vaporization.

Hybrid cannabis strains, which we call Focused, result from crossbreeding Sativa and Indica plant genes.

While we refer to these strains as Relaxing, much of the world knows them as Indicas. These strains tend to produce sedative, calming effects.

Microdosing is a method for consuming small amounts of cannabis in order to experience the medical benefits of the plant without the psychoactive effects that can interfere with daily activities.

Uplifting Sativa strains are varieties of cannabis that tend to produce euphoric and energizing effects.

Cannabis strains refer to different specific varieties of cannabis plants. Each strain exhibits its own unique cannabinoid and terpene profiles.

Terpenes are aromatic oils that give cannabis strains distinct flavours and odours. They interact synergistically with cannabinoids to produce and enhance the plant’s effects.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

THC is the chief psychoactive cannabinoid in marijuana responsible for producing psychoactive effects. THC also exerts therapeutic effects, such as nausea and pain reduction.

Vaporizers are devices that are used to release the active ingredients and therapeutic compounds in cannabis flower and concentrates. They work by heating the material up to a temperature that releases vapors but does not cause combustion or produce smoke.

Topicals are non-intoxicating cannabis-infused body products like lotions and balms that are absorbed through the skin and provide localized relief for pain and inflammation.

Trichomes are the tiny, sticky, hair-like crystals that cover the leaves and buds of cannabis flower and produce the cannabinoids and terpenes found in the plant.
